Pianist: Composer-Entertainer-Conductor-Music Educator
Fitzroy Graham II is a pianist, composer, conductor and music educator whose works integrate performance, pedagogy and scholarly musical development. His musical journey began at the age of six, in 2000, when he received his first piano instruction. The talent of a budding pianist was recognized, in 2001, when he won first place performing Beethoven’s “Ode to joy,” as a student at Holy Rosary Catholic School, New York.
Graham continued to evolve and received the 2011 and 2012 Outstanding Musician Award as a student at Caleb Ackerman Piano school, affiliated with Halls School of Music, Woodlands, Texas. He participated in Gold Cups events and received consecutive superior grades. His passion as an entertainer guided him to perform as a pianist in local, national and international competitions. On the international stage a Carnagie group of distinguished judges commended him as a pianist with a bright future.
Graham incorporated piano playing with music compositions, and by 2014 he had composed 50 pieces including 27 copyrights. In 2015, he earned an associate in arts, majoring in music, from the Lone Star College- Montgomery, Texas. His piano audition at the University of Houston {U of H} was a success and in 2019, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Music with a double minor in Kinesiology and Spanish from the University of Houston (U of H)- Moores School of Music.
